Grounds & Ground Floor

Front Garden

Entering the original gate to this magnificant house, you will climb 10 shallow Victorian steps to reach the stunning 30 metre garden, lined with “George’s” roses.

Enjoy a cup of tea whilst sitting on the garden furniture in the English sunshine. You can relax, set right back from any hustle and bustle, with your own personal view of Bamburgh castle. If you get tired of castle watching, you can set your sights on the sea and the Northumbrian coastline. On a clear day, you can also see Lindisfarne (Holy Island). A truly intimate spot to enjoy a romantic view!

Private Car Park, Electric Car Charger (EV Type 2) & Back garden

Via a private road accessible from The Wynding, you will pass through a farmer’s field and over a cattle grid to arrive at a private car park at the rear of the house. This car park is characterised by lobster pots hanging from the wall. You will be able to park 4-5 cars here.

For the more environmentally friendly cars, there is a Type 2 EV electric car charger (you will just need to bring your Type 2 connector with you).

Once parked, you will access the back garden via the sign posted back door. You will notice the high fence to ensure the safety of children and dogs alike.

The tiered back garden is turfed with a large patio with outside dining furniture for up 12-14 people. A large American style gas Barbeque is available for Al Fresco dining in the English countryside.

Lounge

After a day at the beach or sight seeing across the Northumbrian coast, enjoy some down time in our luxurious classic style lounge. This stunning room provides modern comfort whilst maintaining a period decor, with original Victorian features.

‘Chesterfield’ style sofa seating in a horseshoe arrangement allows for easy socialising for large groups. Watch your favourite films, tv and sport on the large Smart TV, with our wood burning stove keeping you warm. Or just sit and admire the view of the castle at the window seat.

Dining

The dining room, one of our main feature rooms, offers dining for up to 12 people on our custom made large dining table. We also offer an additional matching custom built table that seats 4 people.

“The Pink Lady” Snug

Don’t fancy the 5 minute walk to Bamburgh village centre? Choose to enjoy your own tipples in “The Pink Lady” snug / bar (named after the famous Bamburgh ghost – read more about her here). Read a book or watch a bit of TV on our feature Accent chairs, feeling cosy next to the wood burning stove.

Kitchen & Scullery

Alongside all your regular kitchen items (crockery, glasses, cutlery, pans, etc), our kitchen and scullery is kitted out with dishwasher, electric ‘range’ style cooker, American style fridge freezer, 2 Microwaves, Nespresso Coffee Machine, Delonghi ‘Bean to cup’ Coffee Machine, Toaster & Kettle.

This area is also great for casual dining and drinks, with a kitchen island with seating for 6.

Laundry & Pantry

Tumble dryer, washing machine, maiden, iron & ironing board are available in our laundry and drying room. Additional storage also available in our pantry room.

Pet Pamper Room

We have not forgot about our furry friends. Our outhouse, kitted with a pet shower, is very practical for showering pets after a walk in the countryside or at the beach.

Middle Floor

“Master” Bedroom 1 (Twin or Superking plus Double or 2 singles)

This versatile room offers multiple arrangements of beds to suit various needs of our customers. Choose from a twin or superking bed. Additionally, we can configure our day bed as a double, a single or a twin (single with pull out trundle single). This grand bedroom also offers a washbasin, feature fireplace and views of the castle and sea.

Bedroom 2 (Single)

A stylish single bedroom with fantastic views of the sea and Bamburgh castle.

Bedroom 3 (Twin or Superking)

“The Pink Lady” would have loved this room! This dusky pink styled room can be set up as a twin or superking. This room arguably offers the best bedroom view of the castle in the house.

Bedroom 4 (now “Master Bathroom”)

Our Bedroom 4 was too big to be a single room and too small to be a double. We didn’t have enough bathrooms….problem solved, let’s convert bedroom 4 to a luxurious Master bathroom. Enjoy the tipple of your choice whilst having a relaxing bubble bath in our standalone rolltop bath with views of the beautiful English countryside. Also offers shower, toilet and washbasin!

Bedroom 5 (Double with ensuite)

This stylish double bedroom with modern ensuite offers farm and church views.

Original Bathroom

The original bathroom offers a bath, over bath shower, traditional sink and vanity unit. Please note that there are 2 steps down to access the bathroom from the first floor landing.

Single toilet and washbasin.

Top Floor

“Housekeepers” (Double)

Originally, the Housekeeper’s room, this double bedroom offers a platform seating area with a priceless view of Bamburgh Castle; alongside a modern ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet and sink.

“Butler’s” (Single)

Originally, the Butler’s room, this single bedroom off also offers a priceless view of Bamburgh Castle.

“Maids” (Twin or Superking)

Originally, the Maid’s room, this large twin or superking bedroom provides a view of the farm and St Aiden’s church.

Top Floor Bathroom

Adjacent to ‘Maid’s’, this bathroom offers a walk in shower, toilet and washbasin.

In this modern day and age, it is sometimes convenient to have a place to work – or game! We offer a monitor (with HDMI and VGA connectors), keyboard (usb) & mouse (usb) for your convenience.
